Wrapping Up the Semester like Christmas Presents!

Ahh! I can't believe the semester is almost over this is crazy! I'm wrapping up my teacher project finally! Yay! Tomorrow I'm meeting with James in the computer lab so he can show me some final details on photo story that I can share with my teacher =)! Then all I have to do is send it off to her and do the final report! Its cool to see how over the course of the semester you can go from clueless to expert, when it comes to technology.
I can't wait to put the final touches on our final presentation tomorrow as well. It's gonna be awesome to see all of our hard work come together finally. I also can't wait to share our presentation with everyone and see what everyone else did. It will be fun besides the fact our final is at 8 in the morning (not my finest hour).
This class has taught me a lot, its been a struggle at times, but I made it through. Needless to say I learned a lot and this class has really opened my eyes. That's something more classes need to do, give you a real learning experience!

Venting

AHH!! So stressed I missed classes on Thursday and have been sick all weekend. I was out of it all weekend and at home at my parent's and missed the workshop on Monday. I feel so bad, I had been planning on attending for so long, and feel like I let my teacher down. I'm one to always be on top of things and this time I wasn't. I really need to make it up to her so she can hopefully still learn some new interesting, technologies. I also feel like I've been doing everything on my own my partner stopped communicating with me after the first e-mail so I undertook everything myself. Were coming down to the homestretch and I just wanna make sure that I have everything together. I hate getting sick and stressed my body getting bogged down is something out of my control, I guess I shouldn't have been on the go so much before and should have realized I was on E. I just have to take this situation and make the best out of it. That's something I know I can do!!

A Few Wrong Turns Along the Way

What's learning without a few snafus? The past couple weeks have been so stressful with midterms and sorority kicking into high gear. I feel like I haven't been able to keep up with everything as much as I would have to liked too and have spent way too much time on Facebook. I find it sad that I have to tell myself to get off Facebook and do my work it's on distraction I don't need. If there wasn't facebook though I'm sure there would be plenty of other things that would distract me and keep me from doing work. Sometimes it can be helpful theres generally someone online from one of my classes that can answer any questions I have about an assignment. Enough with my rants.
I'm sad that my teacher cannot attend the workshop on Monday, I was excited for it seeing she said she does best with face to face instruction. Instead I'm going to take comprehensive notes for her though. Which will not only test my note-taking skills but also hopefully really help my teacher.

To Be a Teacher is a Responsibilty of Everyone

How do you teach a teacher? That's what I was wondering when I first learned that's exactly what I would be doing. Especially how do I do this when I'm not 100% positive on what I'm doing. Well I'd soon realize everything had just gotten a lot easier. Over the course of this class I've realized I've learned a lot more than I'd thought. Even though I'm not always sure when everything due or when to submit it, when I do realize that it is, I know what to do. I've always been an A/B student getting everything done when it needed to be and turning assignments in on time. At first getting thrown for a loop was stressful, now I feel like it's made me grow and learn how to adapt to different situations.
When my teacher and I contacted each other she told me how she wanted to utilize photostory more and use it more in her classroom. She also mentioned how she is way better with face to face instruction. Aah!! I thought I'm not the best with photostory and this is suppose to primarily technology based instruction. After I talked to my teacher though, she explained that November 9th there would be a lab held to help out students and teachers! This would be a perfect opportunity to meet face to face with my teacher and help her at the same time! whew!!

A Blur of Clarity

Ahh! That's the first thing I thought when beginning my World 203 class. With all the information that was being thrown at me I didn't know what to process first, if I was a printer I would have been jammed to say the least. I also was excited, this wasn't your average World 203 class it was one that would become helpful to me and the knowledge I gained could be applied to the real world. I'm a creative advertising major, working for a big firm, which I hope to do, means you have to go global. Your clientele and probably some of your biggest accounts are going to be based all around the world. In this class, discussions on global communication have really made my brain begin to tick and realize what things are really out there for me to utilize. Also, being creative minded when I stumble upon something I like my mind goes in 50 different directions, being able to use websites like delicious are a great help!! Now it's time to share what I've learned :)
